Every November, wine lovers celebrate the brilliant young wine known as Beaujolais Nouveau that goes from field-to-bottle-to table in only two months and produces the loveliest pinky-purple hue.Ā NouveauĀ is the name given to the first wine of the vintage. The style originated out ofĀ Beaujolais, just south of Burgundy where they make wines from Gamay Noir using the technique carbonic maceration.Ā
